In my 33-minute documentary, I address the decline of brick-and-mortar retail and small, independent restaurants, while at the same time highlighting the power of small ideas and the impact that courage and initiative can have. A group of young friends from Frankfurt plans a promotional party for their favorite Pakistani restaurant, “Shahi Curry,” located on Holzgrabengasse, which has been struggling to survive since the COVID-19 pandemic. What begins as a spontaneous, half-baked idea ultimately turns into what may be the coolest block party Frankfurt has ever seen.
